Author Guidelines
Articles should be submitted in Word format (.doc, .docx), with the following page setup: B5 format, Times New Roman, 11 pt character size, line spacing 1, page margins 2.2 cm, “justified”. This format is required of all articles, regardless of their original language. The journal is published in English, but we accept submissions in Romanian and Hungarian, provided they are later translated for publication.
The journal cannot provide the English translation of all articles initially submitted in Romanian or Hungarian. Therefore, after the articles have been accepted by the internal reviewers, the editorial office may request that the authors translate their articles in English.
The articles must be submitted with an Abstract of no more than 100 words and 5-6 Keywords, inserted between the title, author and the body of the article. Please include your full name, affiliation and e-mail. The authors are also encouraged to communicate their ORCID iD to us, if applicable.
The authors must take into consideration that the journal is addressed to an international public which might need explanations regarding local, national or regional events, phenomenon or general aspects. The citations in languages of international circulation must be provided in the original, not in Romanian or Hungarian translations, or in the generally accepted English translation. In the case of other foreign languages, the journal and the author will find a solution acceptable for both parties.
The guidelines for reference style follow The Chicago Manual of Style, following the Notes and Bibliography System.
The articles submitted for publication should not exceed 50.000 characters, including footnotes and annexes. As a condition for publication, the authors are required to fill out and sign the Publication Agreement regarding the article’s copyright and originality. This document has legal value.
When editing your tables, graphics or images, please be advised that the journal is printed in black-and-white (some images, if it is strictly necessary, may be printed in colour), and in B5 format, Times New Roman, 11 pt. character size, line spacing 1, all page margins 2.2 cm. In case it is impossible to submit your article in the required format, please edit your tables, etc. in such a way as to be appropriate for later editing, including resizing, and the translation of textual data into English.
Copyright Statement
If it is considered acceptable by the editors of the journal, we will prepare and publish your article in the journal. We reserve the right to make editorial changes necessary to make the article suitable for publication or that we deem reasonably necessary to avoid violations of third party rights or violation of any laws; we reserve the right not to continue publishing for any reason.
The author retains full copyright of their work, as stated in detail in the Publication Agreement.
Authors are encouraged to share their articles published in Philobiblon on all known academic networks (https://www.academia.edu/ , https://www.researchgate.net/ etc.) or on their personal websites, provided that they give the full reference to the original publication in Philobiblon.
Philobiblon does not charge any publication fees.
